Roles & Mission Statement

Located in the former Village of Thorhild Administrative Complex and operated by the County of Thorhild Library Board, Thorhild & District Municipal Library was established to provide informational and recreational reading needs of the residents of Thorhild and surrounding area .The Thorhild Library will acquire a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction and reference materials that reflects the needs and interests of the patrons. Specialized materials will be acquired through interlibrary loan.

Mission Statement for County Libraries is:

The main purpose of our libraries is to provide library services to satisfy the needs and wishes of our patrons.  Our strategic plan for enriching our library materials, programming and technologies ensures that the library continues to be an essential service within our communities.
